Sanwo-Olu’s Aide Response After Online User Says Tinubu Works Better When One Picks A Fight Agains Him

Jubril Gawat, the Special Adviser on Media to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has responded to a social media post praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s resilience and intellect.

The online user, identified as The Source, wrote, “His brain works even better when you pick a fight with him. Asiwaju for a reason,” implying that Tinubu thrives under pressure and becomes more strategic when challenged.

Gawat, reacting to the post on his official X handle, echoed the sentiment, commending Tinubu’s determination and ability to draw strength from adversity.

He remarked that the president “gets inspired when he sees challenges,” reinforcing the image of Tinubu as a leader who remains undeterred by criticism.

The post emerged amid growing debates following Labour Party leader Peter Obi’s criticism of Tinubu’s economic policies, claiming that the president’s reforms have driven 50 million Nigerians into poverty, citing World Bank data.

However, the presidency dismissed these figures as “unrealistic” and not reflective of current realities.

Gawat’s comment adds to the ongoing online conversation portraying Tinubu as a politically seasoned strategist who performs best when faced with opposition, true to his “Asiwaju” title, meaning “leader” in Yoruba.
