
Incumbent governor and the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has emerged winner at the polling unit of the Labour Partys 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi. Obi, a former governor of the state, cast his vote at Umudimakasi, Agulu Ward 2, Polling Unit 008, where residents and supporters had earlier gathered in anticipation of his arrival. Results announced by the presiding electoral officer showed that Soludo secured 19 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Chukwujekwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 10 votes. The Young Progressives Party (YPP) received four votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled one vote.
