Retired tennis star, Ana Ivanovic files for divorce from World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger over alleged affair with mystery lady

Retired tennis star, Ana Ivanovic has reportedly filed for divorce from Bastian Schweinsteiger after he allegedly had an affair. The former Manchester United star and partner are believed to have split earlier this year. The couple had been married for nine years before parting ways, having first met in 2014.  They tied the knot in 2016, a year after Schweinsteiger had joined United. The ceremony took place in Venice, Italy, as the footballer and tennis star made their vows. German outlet Bild has reported that Ivanovic, 38, filed for divorce in November at the Munich District Court. The former tennis star is also believed to have filed for child support in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. She lives in the Spanish city with their three sons, Luka, Leon and Teo.Representative for Ivavonvic, Christian Schertz, revealed in July that the couple had split because of irreconcilable differences. In June, reports in Germany emerged that Schweinsteiger had been spotted kissing an alleged new girlfriend. It is thought that they knew each other as their children go to the same school. The German press named the woman as Silva who is thought to be Bulgarian. Bild even claimed that the two had begun an affair back in the summer of 2024. Magazine Bunte reported that Ivanovic was open to forgiving Schweinsteiger, but it did not happen as he stated he wanted to live freely. Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic were last publicly seen together as they attended the Laver Cup in September 2024. Schweinsteiger, 41, spent a season and a half at Manchester United and won the FA Cup in 2016. He left the club to move to the MLS and join the Chicago Fire before hanging up his boots in 2019. The post Retired tennis star, Ana Ivanovic files for divorce from World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger over alleged affair with mystery lady appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
