Father abandons his three children on the road to consume alcohol in a pub

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has rescued three children abandoned by their father to go and consume alcohol in a pub.  The children, aged 12 and 4 (boys) and 3 years old (girl) were found carrying luggage and walking on Marula Circle in Trenance Park KZN after they were abandoned by their father on Saturday morning, December 6, 2025.   A member of the public employed at a car wash noticed the children and stopped them.   When questioned, the 12-year-old boy explained that their father had left home with them early this morning in Zwelisha KZN, but stopped at a tavern to consume alcohol.   The father allegedly instructed the minors to find their own way to their mothers house while he continued consuming alcohol. Their parents are separated.  The children then began walking from Zwelisha until they reached the car wash, where the employee purchased refreshments for them before contacting Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance.  Reaction Officers were dispatched and, upon arrival, interviewed the eldest sibling, who provided an indication of where their mother resided.   Officers proceeded to the area and made enquiries before locating the mother.  The mother stated that she had no knowledge that the children were being sent to her home, as she has no communication with the father.    The post Father abandons his three children on the road to consume alcohol in a pub appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
