Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler reveals he has undergone surgery to remove skin cancer from his face

 Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has revealed that he has had an operation to remove skin cancer on his face. Fowler, 50, shared before and after photos online as he took to social media to urge people to get checked out. The pre-operation photographs showed Fowler with a lump above his left eyebrow, which he revealed was a basal cell carcinoma.  The former England star said: ‘Before and after… been a few people lately saying the same things, any blemishes/spots look that unusual, get those babies checked. ‘Basal cell carcinoma, got it early, so all looks good thankfully. Just need to get a club now.’A basal cell carcinoma, the most common form of skin cancer, usually appears as small, slow-growing or scaly bump that can damage surrounding skin if not treated. Fowler, one of the most prolific Premier League strikers of his generation, made over 250 appearances for Liverpool across two separate spells at the club. He spent eight years at Anfield between 1993 and 2001, chalking up 120 goals. During that time, he was named PFA Young Player of the Year in both 1995 and 1996. He enjoyed spells at Leeds and Manchester City before returning to the Reds for one season in 2006-07.  Despite his glittering goal record in the Premier League, he only made 26 caps for England, scoring seven goals. The post Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler reveals he has undergone surgery to remove skin cancer from his face appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
