If your marriage ends, please allow the children to go with the mother – Nigerian lady advises men after 16-year-old girl committed su!cide

A Nigerian woman, Adasu, has advised men to let their wives have custody of the children when marriage ends.  She gave the advice on Tueday, December 9, 2025 after a 16-year-old girl living with her father and stepmother committed su!cide in her neighbourhood.  According to the chemical engineer, the teenage girl drank a poisonous substance Otapiapia and d!ed on Sunday morning.  She further revealed that the deceased left a suicide note for her father, suggesting he made her to take the drastic action.  We just lost a very young pretty girl in the neighborhood this morning. Yesterday, while her parents were in church, she drank otapiapia. The note she left on the table for her dad read, “Your mistake is no more dad, I erased it.” She’s just 16, and has been living with dad and stepmumI think that tells the whole story. The doctor pronounced her d3ad this morning,” she wrote.  If your marriage goes south (I pray it doesn’t) but if you ever think of divorce, please allow the children to go with the mother, if you know you’re going to get married again. Women don’t know how to love another person’s children as their own. No matter how kind and lovely a woman is, she always sees her husband’s child with a different eye. (Just few exceptions). Stepchildren go through a lot in the hands of stepmothers.
