
Plateau State Police Command has arrested 15 suspected criminals who have been disguising as commercial motorcyclists in various parts of the state to commit one crime or the other. The spokesperson of the command, SP Alfred Alabo, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday. According to the PPRO, the Command acting on credible intelligence on the influx of criminal-minded elements in the state swooped down on various locations in the State and arrested the suspects. The suspects matched the description of members of notorious gang of criminals that infiltrated conventional commercial motorcyclists, and covering their faces with masks while they operate. It added that the operation is still ongoing in a bid to making more arrest adding that the suspects are currently in custody and are undergoing interrogation, and will be charged to court upon completion of investigation. The Command warned commercial motorcyclists who migrated from other States of the Federation to Plateau with ulterior motives to abort their evil plans and immediately leave the State, stating that the police have launched a massive manhunt for them and will not hesitate to take the full wrath of the law against anyone found to be involved in any criminal activity. However, the State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina appealed to members of the general public to cooperate with the Police by providing useful and timely information that will lead to the apprehension of the criminals.
