Single mother shuts down absent father after daughter refuses to speak with him

A single mother has sparked reactions online after sharing a recorded conversation involving her childs father, who suddenly asked to speak with their daughter despite not playing any role in her upbringing. According to the woman, when she informed her daughter that her father had called, the child immediately said she did not want to speak with him. The mother later called the childs father to explain what happened. During the conversation, the man questioned why their daughter would refuse to talk to him, insisting that the child should always feel like speaking with her father. That was when the mother cut in, asking why the child should feel emotionally obligated to him when he has never contributed to her life in any meaningful way.
