A video circulating on social media has sparked debate after a Nigerian man explained to a woman he is allegedly trying to woo why he is making advances despite being married. In the clip, the man is heard justifying his actions by referring to his wifes recent childbirth and the changes it has brought to their home life. Addressing the woman, he said, You know how that place will be like for my wife who has given birth, suggesting that the change in his wife’s body influenced his decision to seek another relationship. He went on to recount how he met his wife at a time when he was financially struggling, adding that he felt a sense of obligation to remain with her after becoming successful. According to him, loyalty to his wife was rooted in shared hardship rather than emotional fulfilment. The man also admitted regret over timing, saying he wished he had met the woman he is currently pursuing before meeting his wife.
