Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation Whirl Stroke, have uncovered a hidden arms cache during a security operation in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. The operation, carried out on January 4, followed intelligence on the movement of an associate linked to a suspected criminal kingpin identified as John Ngata. Soldiers mounted a roadblock in Zaki-Biam, Benue State, where the suspect was intercepted without resistance. After questioning, the suspect led the troops to a concealed armoury in Amadu village, Takum LGA. Items recovered include 13 AK-47 rifles, 39 magazines, 690 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and four hand grenades. The military said the weapons cache was professionally destroyed after recovery to prevent future use.The post Soldiers recover weapons linked to criminal kingpin in Taraba appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
