Six injured in Adamawa suspected bomb blast

Six people were injured in a suspected bomb blast in Mubang village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.  Hong LGA Chairman, Usman Inuwa, who confirmed the incident told punch on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 that the attack is believed to have been carried out by Boko Haram, who had earlier attacked the same village this month, k!lling 14 people. Nobody was killed this time, but six people sustained injuries and are now receiving treatment at the hospital, Inuwa said. He explained that the villages are located near the Sambisa Forest with no settlements in between, leaving the area vulnerable to attacks by Boko Haram, who exploit the ungoverned spaces to target innocent residents. Inuwa added that a combined team of military personnel and local vigilantes usually patrols the area, repelling previous attacks. Last December alone, Boko Haram made three unsuccessful attempts to attack the villages, but this time, unfortunately, they succeeded, he said. The local government chairman called for stronger federal intervention. “Unless the Air Force is deployed to carry out strikes in Boko Haram-occupied areas, and the Army is stationed nearby, these attacks will continue, he said.The post Six injured in Adamawa suspected bomb blast appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
