VIDEO: Kano Gov, Yusuf Set to Join APC as Government House Prepares for His Defection

The Kano Government House has begun early preparations to welcome Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), with party flags and colours now prominently displayed across the premises.

Areas previously decorated with the flags of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) have been replaced with APC insignia, signaling the governor’s formal defection to the ruling party.

Although crowds were sparse around the Government House at the time of observation, the city is already gearing up for what is being described as the final stage of the defection process.

Former Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is in the state to witness what aides have described as the formal defection rituals of the governor into the APC.

Ganduje, who recently returned from London via Abuja, arrived in Kano late on Monday evening to participate in what supporters are calling a historic political moment.
