British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer has described the f@atal shooting of an American man by federal officers in Minneapolis as concerning. Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse, was shot and killed by US immigration officers on Saturday during a protest. Several videos circulating online show officers opening fire on him while he was on the ground. The incident has sparked bipartisan condemnation across the United States and triggered protests in Minneapolis, amid months of rising tensions linked to enforcement actions by masked and heavily armed Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents. I havent seen all of the details, but what I have seen is obviously concerning, Starmer told reporters while travelling to China for an official visit. Pretti was reportedly carrying a firearm for which he held a valid permit, though none of the videos show him holding the weapon at the time of the shooting. 
I dont think anybody could see some of the footage and not say its concerning, but Im not claiming to have seen all the footage and all the detail, but of what I have seen, Id say its concerning, Starmer added. On January 7, Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was shot and killed by an ICE agent.Following public outrage over Prettis death and initial statements from his administration that appeared to blame the victim, US President Donald Trump said he would de-escalate a little bit in the city.Trump has since spoken with local Democratic officials, and reports indicate that some of the 3,000 federal agents deployed to Minneapolis are expected to withdraw soon.
