Farmer r@pes 70-year-old widow in Kaduna

A Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kafanchan has ordered a farmer, Timothy Ayock, to be remanded in a correctional centre for allegedly r@ping a 70-year-old widow. Ayock is standing trial on two counts of r@pe and criminal force, contrary to sections 257 and 237 of the Kaduna State Penalty Code Law, 2017.  The state counsel from the ministry of justice, Daniel Isah, told the court that the defendant forcefully had s3xual intercourse with a widow at Tagama community in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area on December 26, 2025. When the charges were ready to him, he pleaded not guilty to them. The prosecutor thereafter prayed the court for an adjournment to enable the state prove its case against the defendant. In his ruling, the presiding judge, Michael Eugene, ordered the defendant to be remanded at the Kafanchan correctional centre. Eugene adjourned the matter until March 5 for hearing.
