2027: “Even if Tinubu contests unopposed he’ll fail” – Kenneth Okonkwo

Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has stated that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election.

Kenneth while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily said the president’s second-term ambition is dead on arrival.

According to Okonkwo, a lot of evil has been done to the Nigerian people by the present administration under the leadership of President Tinubu.

His words, “Even if Tinubu comes out unopposed in 2027, he will fail, because our constitution is clear that even if you are the only person that came out, they will still ask Nigerians to vote whether yes or no.”

Okonkwo also noted that considering the economic situation of the country, the sufferings of Nigerians and the growing insecurity across the country, no sane individual will vote for Tinubu in 2027.

“How can you vote, yes? No, let me tell you. Would there be any person who is sane, that will transport himself under the new flight ticket cost of Tinubu, N5,000 to go to his village, to go to the cubicle to vote for Tinubu? No.

“Is it possible? Okay, without preempting things, the person cannot even travel through the land because he will be afraid that he will be terrorised, kidnapped, or killed.

“The person cannot travel through the air because he can’t afford the air ticket.

Of course. The person cannot travel through the sea because, one, the river may not have reached his village, and even if he travels, he will die. Can’t you– You are hearing about boat capsizing every day,” Okonkwo said.

Addressing the controversy surrounding the Electoral Act amendment and the rejection of real-time transmission of election results by the Senate, Okonkwo accused the present administration of making plans to rig the 2027 polls.

”And they now want to rig the election before it starts, and they are making a mess of the Electoral Act twenty twenty-two. Let me tell you, without mandatory electronic transmission of results…And, and INEC itself, of course, you know, the only reason we are doing this is because everybody has lost confidence in INEC,” he added.
