Popular content creator ZicSaloma has stirred serious conversation online after sharing a candid video on Instagram where he advised Nigerians to be financially heartless if they truly want to break free from the poverty cycle.According to him, the advice isnt about being wicked or abandoning family, but about survival and long-term thinking in an environment where extended families often feel entitled to one persons income.ZicSaloma explained that many of his past business attempts failed not because he lacked discipline, but because his savings were constantly diverted to family needs once they knew he had money. From rent issues to sudden emergencies, his plans were repeatedly disrupted.He noted that in many African homes, once your salary becomes public knowledge, everyone automatically has a share. Some relatives, he said, may even stop working entirely because they assume youll always assist. In his words, this entitlement keeps families stuck in the same poverty loop.The comedian advised people not to disclose their real income, and in some cases, to deliberately downplay or hide it except in genuine life-or-death situations.
