Former NFL star Mark Sanchez sacked by FOX after Indianapolis stabb!ng incident

Former NFL quarterback and FOX Sports analyst Mark Sanchez has been fired by the network one month after being involved in a violent altercation that left him critically injured, TMZ Sports has learned. A FOX Sports spokesperson confirmed the development on Friday, November 7, saying, We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network. There will be no further comment at this time. Sanchez was in Indianapolis in early October to call the ColtsRaiders game when he allegedly attacked a 69-year-old delivery driver in what witnesses described as a bizarre confrontation. The man stabbed Sanchez in what authorities say appeared to be self-defense, leaving the former quarterback with a serious wound to his upper torso. He was arrested in his hospital bed just hours after the incident. Prosecutors later charged him with four offenses, including one count of felony battery and three misdemeanors, potentially carrying several years in prison if convicted. After being released from the hospital, Sanchez reported to the Marion County Jail to be officially booked before returning to California. He is also facing a civil lawsuit from the delivery driver, Perry Tole. FOX was named as a co-defendant in that suit. Since the October 4 incident, Sanchez has not appeared on-air. Brady Quinn and Mark Schlereth stepped in during his absence.
