“Nothing happened between Victor Osimhen and me. It was just a discussion on the pitch” – Ademola Lookman speaks on altercation with Osimhen (Video)

Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman, has played down the rift between him and striker Victor Osimhen following Nigerias emphatic 4-0 win over Mozambique in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16 encounter on Monday. In pursuit of a hat-trick, the Galatasaray striker was caught on camera angrily confronting teammate Ademola Lookman during their emphatic 40 victory over Mozambique at the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night. Lookman had made one assist to help Osimhen score his brace before the outburst broke out. Still visibly furious, the Galatasaray forward gestured to the bench for a substitution and was duly taken off, with Moses Simon coming on in his place. Following the final whistle, he headed straight down the tunnel, opting out of the usual post-match handshakes and team prayer with his teammates. He was also the first Nigerian player to head for the team bus. Speaking after the match when asked about the incident, Lookman, who won the player of the match award said, Ive not seen him. Nothing happened, it was just a discussion on the pitch. I dont know what the big issue is.  On Osimhen asking to be substituted, Lookman simply responded: I didnt see that. Lookman also lauded the teams dominant display in the tournament: Its been great, the team is improving every single game. We scored four goals so thats positive for us. Watch the video below.     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial)  The post Nothing happened between Victor Osimhen and me.
