Former President Obasanjo Receives a Giant Cow as Gift from Governor Bala Mohammed [Photos]

 

According to a media post on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, by Honourable Lawal Muazu, the Special Assistant on Media to the Executive Governor, Nigeria’s former President, Chief Olusegun Aremu Matthew Obasanjo, inaugurated the newly completed Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre (ICC) in Bauchi.

During the ceremony, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed presented a giant cow to the former president as a token of respect and appreciation for his statesmanship and contributions to national development.

 

In his remarks, Chief Obasanjo described Governor Mohammed’s infrastructure efforts as visionary and forward-looking, noting that the ICC represents a significant milestone in Bauchi’s modernization and a strategic step toward connecting the state to global opportunities.

 

He emphasized that the facility has the potential to drive economic activity, foster unity, and attract international investment.

Vice President Kashim Shettima also commended Governor Mohammed for his inclusive leadership and transformative projects, reaffirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support for initiatives that promote sustainable development and national cohesion.

 

In his response, Governor Bala Mohammed thanked both leaders for their presence and encouragement, reiterating his administration’s commitment to education, tourism, and economic growth while positioning Bauchi as a prime destination for major events in Northern Nigeria.
