Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri in talks for Ligue 1 loan move

French club, Olympique de Marseille are in talks to sign Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri on loan until the end of the season. According to reports from journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic, no deal has been struck just yet for a move that would keep Nwaneri at the Ligue 1 side until the end of the campaign without any option for making the transfer permanent. Marseille will also pay a 3 million loan fee and cover the 18-year-old’s wages. Nwaneri has found it difficult to get game time for the Premier League leaders this season, featuring just six times in the league, all from the bench. This is because of the summer arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke. French side Marseille are looking to take advantage of the situation and are making a move to loan the teenager for the rest of the season. Arsenal have no interest in letting the teenager leave on a permanent basis, so it would just be a loan move with no option to buy in the summer. Marseille are currently third in Ligue 1 and 16th in the Champions League table, hosting Liverpool on Wednesday night. The post Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri in talks for Ligue 1 loan move appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
