Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), two months after he was expelled from the NNPP for alleged anti-party activities and failure to pay membership dues. Announcing the switch on Monday, November 10, Jibrin said his supporters in Kiru/Bebeji had unanimously agreed to dump the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya movement and throw their weight behind President Tinubus 2027 re-election bid. Today, in a show of solidarity, I was warmly received by thousands of my constituents in my hometown of Kofa, Bebeji, Kano. The gathering resolved to leave the NNPP/Kwankwasiyya, join the APC, and endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office. He added that around 2,000 Islamic clerics offered prayers for President Tinubu and for peace and development in Kiru/Bebeji, Kano State, and Nigeria as a whole. Addressing the crowd in a video from the event, Jibrin explained why he came with his people this time instead of defecting alone. I decided to bring this crowd to correct my earlier mistake. I dont want anyone to say I dont have supporters. The post House of Reps member Abdulmumin Jibrin joins APC two months after expulsion from NNPP appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
