Asian man reveals how the Police complaint unit helped him recover N150, 000 extorted from him by a police officer

An Asian man has taken to social media to thank the Police Complaint Response Unit for coming to his aid after an officer extorted N150, 000 from him. In a video released online, the Asian man said he was in an Uber heading to a bar where he could watch the AFCON match between Nigeria and Morocco when a police officer stopped the vehicle in Ikeja, Lagos state and asked for his passport to ascertain if he is legally residing in Nigeria. He said he wasn’t with his passport at the time and had to contact his staff to go to his apartment to get his passport and bring to him.  The Asian man said while waiting for the passport, the officer dragged him out of the Uber and threatened him with his gun. He said he was so scared and quickly gave them the N150, 000 they demanded for. He said he transferred the money because he was scared and needed to keep himself safe. He mentioned that after the incident, he felt cheated and went on google to search on how he could find justice.
