One suspect arrested as FCT police command foil robbery attempt in Kado

One suspected armed robber has been arrested after the FCT police command foiled a robbery attempt in the Kado area of Abuja. A statement from SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the command, says that on Friday, January 23rd at approximately 6:15 a.m., a distress call was received at Mabushi Divisional Headquarters reporting that armed robbers, numbering about three (3), were attacking motorists near MRS Filling Station in Kado. Adeh stated that upon receipt of the report, a police response team from Mabushi Division swiftly mobilised to the scene. On sighting the police team, the suspects attempted to flee, leading to a hot pursuit and an exchange of gunfire, during which one of the suspects sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while the remaining suspects fled into nearby bushes. She said the following exhibits were recovered at the scene; the suspects operational vehicle, a black-coloured Volkswagen Golf 2 with registration number JJJ 112 DW; one (1) Barreta pistol, one (1) locally made pistol, one (1) Firman generator; one (1) Tecno Spark 4 Android phone; one (1) Tecno T353 mobile phone; one (1) Access Bank ATM card; one (1) catapult; one (1) pair of pliers; one (1) pair of canvas shoes; two (2) pairs of slippers; one (1) singlet; one (1) cap; one (1) jacket; one (1) T-shirt; and one (1) handkerchief. She added that efforts are currently ongoing to apprehend the other fleeing suspects.The post One suspect arrested as FCT police command foil robbery attempt in Kado appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
