In an interview with former reality TV star Teddy A on Echoo Room, actress and former Big Brother Naija housemate Bamike Olawunmi Adenibuyan, popularly known as BamBam, spoke about long-held misconceptions regarding her family. She made it clear that her father has never been a pastor, as some people often assume, but is a retired military general.
BamBam noted, “My father is a retired military general, he is not a pastor, I don’t even think he goes to church.” She explained that the assumptions about her family background likely come from the way she carries herself and the values she represents. However, she emphasized that her upbringing was deeply influenced by the discipline, structure, and toughness of a military household, which shaped her into the woman she is today.
She further revealed that her father’s background instilled resilience, determination, and a strong sense of order in her, qualities she continues to apply in her career and personal life. Despite the public speculations, BamBam expressed pride in her roots and the values passed down to her, stressing that those experiences have been central to her growth and outlook on life.
