Nigerian woman mourns her husband and brother in-law who both passed away mysteriously weeks apart

A Nigerian woman, Orji Chizoba, has taken to social media to mourn her husband and her brother in-law who both passed away weeks apart under mysterious circumstances. In her post, Orji said on December 12, 2025, her husband who was hale and hearty, suddenly took ill and was rushed to the hospital where he slumped into coma and passed away. She said few weeks after, her brother in-law was at an occasion on January 1, 2026, when the cow that was to be slaughtered ran berserk, ran into him and inflicted serious injuries on him. She said he was in the intensive care unit for five days before finally passing away on January 6. ”My husband was always healthy and strong.on the 12th Friday December we were about leaving the the house for our normal daily business, when he called me he was already on his Vehicle just for us to leave the house he started shaking and said everywhere is turning round and dark and is like he’s falling down and that he can’t fill his leg and hand again and that his teeth is closing I should put spoon in his mouth so that it will not close immediately I told my daughter to get a spoon then I put it in his mouth, he was still talking, when one of our neighbor heard us struggling cos I already started praying,so our neighbors came out with there assistance my husband said we should take him  to FMC immediately we went to FMC the doctors asked all there usual questions and also commence treatment but upon all the treatment nothing worked on Saturday morning after the morning medication he told me he want to sleep, and I taught the sleep was as a  result of the medicine given to him,I never new it was a sleep of death and from sleeping he entered into comma and that was it, early morning Sunday by 2am he gave up.It was like a dream am still yet to understand.Then me and my children traveled to the village and this period was Christmas, just on the 1st of January 2026 my brother in-law the last born in the house went for an occasion and the cow that was to be used for the occasion on hearing the sound of a local gun loss the rope and hit my brother in-law on the head and trou him on the wall.he was rushed to a near by hospital but was also taken to a specialist hospital at Owerri after 5 days of intensive care he gave up.my heart is broken.That’s why you are seeing two brothers in one post 1st and last born.It’s not easy for the Family of UCHEGO all we need right now is your prayers love and care to pass through this phase of life.May God console and comfort me and my entire Family through Jesus Christ My Lord AMEN”Many social media users have expressed their sadness over the de@ths and sent their condolences.
