FAAC allocates N1.97 trillion to FG, States, and Local Governments

The Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N1.969 trillion from federation revenue accrued in December 2025 to the Federal Government, state governments, and local councils. According to the FAAC communiqu released after its monthly meeting on Monday, the total distributable revenue was made up of statutory allocations, Value Added Tax (VAT), and the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). FAAC reported that the total gross revenue for the month was N2.585 trillion, after deducting costs of collection and setting aside funds for transfers, refunds, and savings. The communiqu noted that while gross statutory revenue fell compared to November, VAT receipts rose sharply, reflecting growth in non-oil revenue streams.
