Remi Tinubu Reacts to Global Recognition from US President Trump

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed surprise at the recognition she received from United States President Donald Trump during an official visit to the US.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Tinubu said, “Who would have thought that President Trump would recognise me? I am getting global recognition on all of this, and that is what life is all about. If something is going to be good, it starts from the rubbles.”

Her remarks follow her recent appearance at the United States National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, where President Trump publicly acknowledged her as a highly respected leader of one of Nigeria’s largest churches.

According to reports, the National Prayer Breakfast is an annual interfaith event that brings together political leaders, lawmakers, religious figures, and invited international guests to reflect on faith, leadership, and global cooperation.

Over the years, the event has also served as a platform for diplomatic engagement and symbolic recognition of foreign dignitaries in attendance.
