Following the recent report that the Nobel Peace Prize award was given to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, despite the efforts of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump to brokered a ceasefire deal between the Israeli regime, and the Palestinian nationalist Sunni Islamist political organization, which is known as Hamas, Russian President Vladimir Putin, argued that the committee of the award had historically awarded the honor to individuals who have done nothing for peace, challenging the credibility of one of the world’s most famous institutions, and aligned Moscow with a growing sentiment of skepticism towards established international bodies.
According to a report by Anadolu English on 10 October, 2025, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin while speaking at a press conference, lavished extraordinary praise on the American President, Donald Trump, asserting that Trump was actively doing a lot to resolve complex, long-standing global crises, pinpointing the Middle East as the most striking example, hailing Trump’s 20-point plan for the Gaza Strip as a potential historic event if successfully implemented.
In his words, President Vladimir Putin said “US President Donald Trump is doing a lot to resolve complex crises around the world. There have been cases where the committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to people who have done nothing for peace, such decisions have done enormous damage to the award’s prestige. But he really does a lot to resolve such complex crises that lasted for years, even decades.”

Regarding the ongoing face-off between the American Government and the Russian Federation, President Vladimir Putin of Russia stated that an extension of the nuclear treaty between Washington and Moscow was possible only with goodwill from the US, coolly noting that its lapse was not critical for Moscow.
He also confirmed that Russia was on the verge of announcing new, successfully tested weapons, stating “Russia’s response to the potential transfer of long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine by the US will be to strengthen its own air defense system. Both countries understand how to resolve the Ukraine war by peaceful means. Russia may soon have the opportunity to announce the new weapons we once announced. It’s being developed, we’re testing it, and it’s going well.”
