Media personality and influencer Ifedayo Agoro has shared her thoughts on the tradition of brides kneeling to feed their husbands during wedding ceremonies. Speaking on Middle Ground with Frank and Ife, Ifedayo said she personally isnt comfortable with the practice. I fed you cake during our wedding, but I just didnt kneel down, she told her husband, Frank, during the conversation. Frank went on to explain the cultural meaning behind the gesture. The custom is that a bride learns how to feed her husband properly. You kneel down to give me the cake, and when you go into your husbands house you follow suits, thats how you follow the tradition, he said. Responding, Ifedayo maintained that she didnt want to pretend. I know, and thats the issue. I didnt want to be a hypocrite because I never used to kneel down, she said.
