Police nab suspected motorcycle thief in Yobe

The Yobe State Police Command said its operatives have arrested a 29-year-old suspect who specialized in motorcycle theft. The commands Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Damaturu on Thursday, February 12. The PPRO said: On 10th February, 2026, at about 1745 hours, one Bukar Lawan, male, of Sabon Fegi Ward, Damaturu, reported at the division that earlier the same day, he visited a friend at Nasarawa Ward, Damaturu, where he parked his Car-Go motorcycle, ash and black in colour, in front of the friends residence. Upon his return, he discovered that an unknown person had stolen the motorcycle.  According to him, upon receipt of the report, police operatives swiftly commenced investigation, which led to the tracking and arrest of the suspect on Thursday. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to committing the crime and the stolen motorcycle was recovered and registered as an exhibit, Abdulkarim said. The commands PPRO assured that the recovered motorcycle will be released to the rightful owner, while investigation continues in preparation for prosecution.  The post Police nab suspected motorcycle thief in Yobe appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
