A drill rapper who recently escaped from police custody appears to have mocked authorities in a new video circulating online just days after fleeing from officers.Daniel Boakye, 21, who performs under the name DSAVV, escaped from police at University Hospital Lewisham on Sunday afternoon. Officers had taken him to the hospital for medical treatment when he allegedly fled at around 3pm.In a video shared on social media on Monday evening, a young man believed to be Boakye was seen rapping in front of a television screen displaying a news article about his escape. In the clip, the man appeared to boast about breaking free and criticised the government and police.I just broke out of jail like Modie, f*** the government fam theyre phoneys, he rapped. On the roads, Im a legend like Toby, but I cant go wrong like Kobe.The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers pursued Boakye after he ran from the hospital but were unable to detain him before he left the building.A spokesperson said: We are searching for a 21-year-old man who absconded from Lewisham Hospital at around 15:05hrs on Sunday, February 15.Daniel Boakye was in police custody at the hospital receiving medical treatment when he fled. Officers gave chase but could not detain him before he left the building. We are currently reviewing this incident to fully understand the events which unfolded. The Mets Directorate of Professional Standards is aware.Boakye had reportedly been detained only days earlier following a previous abscondment before escaping again on Sunday, February 15. He is described as a Black man of medium height and slim build and was last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket.Court records show Boakye was jailed in July 2023 for a series of knifepoint robberies carried out across London. During the offences, victims were allegedly threatened and forced to hand over their phones and passcodes, allowing money to be withdrawn from their bank accounts.
