Bodies of 3 men found in Detroit basement after man claiming to have been assaulted escapes

A man, who escaped from a Detroit home where he claims he was being assaulted, led police officers to a residence where three bodies were found. Police in Detroit are actively investigating a residential crime scene after discovering three male bodies in the basement of the home. While already responding to a missing persons case near Fort Street just before 1 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Feb. 18, officers were approached by a male who ran up to them claiming he was attacked in a home on Edsel Street, WXYZ and CBS News reported. The unidentified individual also claimed the house where he was assaulted had bodies inside. Police went into the home and found three individuals, adult males, in the basement of the location who had apparently been brutally assaulted, Detroit Police Commander Rebecca McKay said to reporters during a broadcast aired by WXYZ. Additional footage showed multiple law enforcement officials at the Edsel Street home, which was blocked off by police tape. They are deceased. We are currently working through all of the evidence, and this case is very preliminary at this point, the police commander continued. McKay also said the victims, who have not been publicly identified, were about age 50 or older, The Detroit News reported. Their remains were wrapped in towels and carpeting with blood everywhere, sources told WXYZ. No suspects have been named, and a motive has not been publicly revealed. It was not immediately known whether any of the victims who were discovered on Wednesday were connected to the initial missing persons case. The post Bodies of 3 men found in Detroit basement after man claiming to have been assaulted escapes appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
