JUST IN: APC extends dates for submission of convention forms
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the deadlines for the purchase of forms for its zonal Congress and national convention scheduled to take place on March 25, 2026, and March 26 to March 27, 2026, respectively.
In a statement issued by Felix Morka, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, the party said it wishes to inform all members and stakeholders of the new deadlines for purchase and submission of forms.
According to Morka, the new dates for the purchase and submission of forms have now been extended from March 12, 2026, to March 23, 2026.
He said the APC wishes to clarify that this adjustment does not in any way affect the previously scheduled dates for the conduct of the Zonal Congress and the National Convention.
“The Zonal Congress will hold on March 25, 2026, while the National Convention will take place from March 26 to March 27, 2026, as earlier announced,” Morka said.
In addition, he said the party also announces a change in venue for the South-South Zonal Congress now scheduled to be held in Asaba, Delta State
“Official notice of these changes in the schedule of activities has been duly given to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as required by law.
“Our great party urges all members and stakeholders to take note of these updates and make necessary adjustments,” Morka noted.
Recall that the ruling party had earlier announced its plan to inaugurate the members of the APC 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee on Wednesday.
The inauguration, the party said, will signal its formal commencement of preparations for the next electoral cycle.
