According to an interview, Nigerian music executive and talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has praised Afro-R&B sensation Chike for his artistry and potential, saying the singer could have a career similar to that of highlife star Flavour if he maintains consistency. Franklin made this statement while speaking on the evolution of Nigerian music and the importance of dedication in sustaining long-term relevance.

According to Franklin, Chike has carved a niche for himself with his unique sound, blending Afro-pop, R&B, and highlife-inspired melodies that resonate with both young and older audiences. He highlighted the singer’s ability to tell compelling love stories through his music, a quality that mirrors Flavour’s enduring appeal over the years. “If Chike stays true to his style and remains consistent, he will build a career that stands the test of time. He has that depth and artistry that can give him a Flavour-feel kind of longevity,” Franklin noted.
