Notorious Ritualist Disguised as Native Doctor Caught While Trying to Flee Nigeria by Citynobs May 30, 2025, 1:34 am According to DAILY POST,the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, KN Nandap,has confirmed the arrest of a man identified as Obi Levi Obieze, also known as Levi Obu Onyeka, who is wanted for serious criminal activities relating to ritual killings in Enugu state. Obieze, a suspected kidnapper and ritualist, was earlier declared wanted by the Enugu State Police Command for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl and money ritual activities. Reports revealed that Obieze, who lives in Umuojor village, Isiagu Community in Enugu State, is a known native doctor. He was allegedly involved in the abduction of the teenage girl, who was taken while walking to the farm with her father. According to the police, three men were involved in the kidnapping. The girl was later found and rescued by the police from a shrine believed to be connected to the suspect. In a statement released on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, ACI AS Akinlabi, said the suspect was arrested by Immigration officers at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Badagry-Seme Road in Lagos. He was attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle when he was stopped.BDuring his arrest, a slip from the National Identity Management Commission was found on him, confirming his identity. The statement added that Obieze admitted to the crimes during initial questioning. The Nigeria Immigration Service have immediately started working closely with the Nigeria Police Force to officially hand over the suspect for further investigation. The agency also used the opportunity to reaffirm their dedication to maintaining strict border security and ensuring that fleeing or wanted suspects are not allowed to escape justice through illegal border routes.
