Ameh emphasized that in order to assess the efficacy of the Nigerian federal government, the same criteria should be used. Two years after taking office, Ameh, a previous presidential candidate and national chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, stated his profound dissatisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s performance.
He chastised the administration for its inadequate policy planning and execution, pointing out in particular that the sudden elimination of fuel subsidies was carried out “without a plan” and without mitigating the effects on Nigerians.
