Former NFL star Antonio Brown made his first court appearance in New Jersey on Friday in connection with his attempted murder case, agreeing to be transferred to Florida to face the charge. Officials from the Essex County Prosecutors Office told TMZ Sports that the 37-year-old appeared before Judge Barry, where he executed a waiver of extradition, meaning he will not contest being moved to Miami, the location of the alleged incident. Brown will remain in the Essex County Jail until Florida authorities take custody of him. The charge stems from a violent confrontation in mid-May at an Adin Ross charity boxing event, where Brown is accused of attempting to shoot a man identified as Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu. Part of the incident was captured on video, showing Brown grabbing a firearm and running with it. After speaking with police on the night of the event, Brown claimed he acted in self-defense and was initially allowed to leave. An arrest warrant was later issued in June, but Brown was outside the country at the time. Earlier this week, he was extradited from Dubai back to the United States. The post NFL star Antonio Brown appears in court on attempted murd3r charges appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
