Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savagehas opened up on how pregnancy impacted her vocal range during the recording of her album ‘R.E.D’. The super mum of one, in an interview on Afrobeats Intelligence said she struggled to hit high notes due to her pregnancy, prompting her to adjust the keys of some songs.

Notably, she was a pioneering artist at Mavin Records, being the first to have a baby while signed to the label, with DonJazzy ensuring her needs were met during her pregnancy.

“I was pregnant when I recorded ‘R.E.D’. I would be in the studio crying with my big belly. It was a struggle to record the album.
