Chima Paid The Supreme Price, He Died In My Official Car On His Way Back To Abuja – Adams Oshiomhole by Citynobs May 31, 2025, 1:01 am Former Governor Adams Oshiomhole has spoken about the death of late Chima Ubani, the executive director of Civil Liberties Organization, whom he described as a true patriot. In a coverage by Symfoni TV, Oshiomhole stated that when he was the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, he created a group called LASCO, which brought labour and civil society groups together. He said Chima travelled from Lagos to Kano by bus just to join the LASCO group in their struggle. Oshiomhole disclosed that after they held meetings and gave speeches in Kano, he and Chima drove to Maiduguri together. He said they arrived there late at night, around 11 p.m. He revealed that during the journey, armed robbers attacked and robbed them. But despite that, Chima remained committed to the cause and prepared to return by road in the official NLC vehicle called NLC1. Oshiomhole said Chima lost his life in that same vehicle while on his way to Abuja. He added that Chima made a great sacrifice for Nigeria and deserved to be honoured for his courage and dedication.
