Ndume vehemently objected during a televised interview when the interviewer used Bwala’s name in connection with his prior criticisms of President Tinubu’s appointees.

You are constantly attempting to, you know, throw a punch below the belt, so I want to correct you on this and perhaps offer some advice as well. Even though Bwala is my brother and I consider him my junior, we both respect each other as Nigerians. Therefore, you can’t drag me down to discuss Bwala. You can’t compare Ndume to Bwala because Bwala is only the president’s Special Assistant. “I am a senator, and I am a senator for the fourth time,” he declared. Ndume stressed that when he discusses national matters, he does so as a lawmaker and not as a competitor to the president’s aides.

“I didn’t like the word I used, but I was referring to the president’s domestic staff when I was speaking about him, not his personal aide,” he stated. The senator continued by praising the president’s special adviser, Sunday Dare, as a professional problem solver. “In my opinion, Sunday Dare is the best of them all. He makes every effort to address problems rather than specific people, and I give him credit for that,” Ndume stated.
