I Met With Atiku To Discuss The Coalition With Him, Atiku’ll Leave PDP –Okowa

 

Former Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will soon leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as reported by VANGUARD. Okowa explained why he and some other key politicians in Delta State left the PDP and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Okowa said he and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori consulted many people before deciding to leave the PDP.

He added that Atiku was aware of the plan and had also shown signs of leaving the party. Okowa said the PDP is facing many problems, these include leadership issues, internal fights, and a poor strategy for future elections. He said these problems made it hard for the party to win in 2027.he said he was not interested in Atiku’s plan to form a new opposition group, according to Okowa, the coalition lacked a clear plan and strong leadership. Instead, Okowa now supports President Bola Tinubu, he said Tinubu should complete an eight-year term. Okowa believes that this will help maintain political balance between the North and South.

“I met with Atiku to discuss the coalition with him, he is on his way out of the PDP,” Okowa revealed.
