The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), engaged in Operation Hadin Kai, has successfully dismantled a factory producing explosive devices, destroyed terrorist gun trucks, and neutralised numerous fighters in Kwaltiri, located within the Tumbuktu Triangle region of Borno State.
Details of the recent operation were provided in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, on Thursday in Abuja.
Ejodame indicated that the airstrikes carried out on Wednesday were based on intelligence reports regarding terrorist activities in the vicinity.
Naija News reports that the NAF spokesperson noted that surveillance confirmed the existence of an IED manufacturing site and associated vehicles, which were targeted in precise strikes by NAF aircraft.
According to him, this operation represents a significant setback for the terrorists’ combat capabilities, as the successful airstrikes not only disrupted their command and control structures and logistics networks but also instilled fear within their ranks, greatly undermining their morale and operational effectiveness.
“It reinforces NAF’s resolve to degrade terrorist capabilities and enhance security in the North East,” he said.
In other news, in a bid to intensify efforts to restore peace and stability in Nigeria’s North Central zone, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) deployed additional air resources as part of Operation Whirl Stroke in the area.
According to the service, this initiative is designed to bolster current military operations, improve aerial surveillance, and increase public trust in regions affected by banditry, kidnapping, and communal unrest.
A statement released on Tuesday by the NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, indicated that the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, made this announcement following a strategic evaluation visit to the Headquarters Tactical Air Command located in Makurdi, Benue State.
