Omofoma contended that Governor Eno’s action is in direct opposition to the directive that Akwa Ibom voters gave him at the 2023 elections, when the APC was decisively defeated by the PDP at the polls. “It feels more like a survival thing to me,” he said. The fact that the APC won the 2023 election in which he ran is a betrayal to the people of Akwa Ibom. In that election, the voters chose the PDP over the APC after the latter filed a candidate. By leaving them in the middle and defecting to the APC, he is now rejecting the people who voted for him.
