Controversial former Big Brother Naija Housemate cum comedian, Aderombi Adedayo Martin, better known as DeeOne, has explained why popular TikToker, Peller, is more relevant than veteran Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, on the internet space.
Naija News reports that the reality TV star, while speaking in a recent episode of Pulse’s Hot Takes podcast, said not being social media-savvy is affecting the brands of some Nigerian celebrities like Genevieve Nnaji.
He claimed that celebrities with mysterious personalities tend not to trend on social media and rarely make the news.
To buttress his point, the reality star claimed that Peller is more relevant in the Nigerian internet space because of his constant online streams, unlike Genevieve Nnaji.
He said, “Genevieve not talking much on social media is not helping her. Genevieve not posting on social media every time is reducing her brand. Let me rephrase it — anybody who is not posting constantly is not top of mind.
“What makes her [Genevieve] different from other actresses? Number one from when? Since which year? Peller right now is more relevant on the internet space in Nigeria than Genevieve Nnaji.”
Meanwhile, DeeOne recently tackled his colleague, Kiddwaya, over his reaction to the recent killings in Benue State.
Naija News recalls that the billionaire’s son, a few days after the tragic incident in Benue State, took to social media to call on Nigerians to donate to his foundation to provide help to the victims in Benue.
The BBNaija star said people could donate as low as ₦500 because every naira mattered to his foundation.
Reacting, DeeOne, in a post via Instagram, urged Kiddwaya to admit to being broke instead of soliciting support on behalf of Benue citizens.
The reality TV star recalled how Kiddwaya once paid $30,000 for a plate of jollof rice and lost €70,000 in Ibiza, but was unperturbed about it.
Deeone further claim that Kiddwaya was only trying to be like social media critic, VeryDarkMan, after seeing that he made a lot of money with his NGO.
