Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has expressed admiration for Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, saying he would relish the opportunity to play alongside the 17-year-old sensation.
In an interview with Spanish influencer Javi Ruiz while training in Spain ahead of pre-season, Rashford was asked directly if he would like to line up with Yamal. The 26-year-old responded: “Yes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully… we’ll see.”
Rashford, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford following Manchester United’s worst-ever Premier League finish. His future remains uncertain despite having three years left on his current deal.
Barcelona sporting director Deco recently admitted the club admires Rashford and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. However, Sky Sports News reports that United are yet to receive any official offers for the England international.
Rashford also heaped praise on Yamal, who has been a standout performer for Barcelona. “It’s difficult to put into words what he’s doing because he’s not supposed to be doing that at 16 or 17. I don’t think we’ve seen that before,” Rashford said.
Onana, Jackson Also Facing Uncertain Futures
Monaco are showing interest in Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to Sky in Italy.
The Cameroonian shot-stopper, who arrived from Inter Milan last summer for £47.3 million, endured a turbulent debut season marked by several high-profile errors.
Onana, 29, still has three years left on his contract, but United may be open to selling if the right offer comes in.
Meanwhile, Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is attracting attention from Juventus, Napoli, three Premier League sides, and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

However, the Blues insist Jackson is not for sale and remains a part of their plans, with his contract running until 2033.
Jackson is suspended for Chelsea’s final Club World Cup group game against Esperance on Wednesday. FIFA is reviewing the incident and may extend his suspension.
