Tottenham Hotspur will kick off their 2025-2026 Premier League campaign with a home clash against newly promoted Burnley, marking the beginning of the Thomas Frank era in north London.
Following a disastrous 2024-2025 domestic season in which Spurs finished a staggering 17th, narrowly escaping relegation after amassing just 38 points, the club parted ways with Ange Postecoglou despite a historic Europa League triumph that ended their 17-year trophy drought.
Spurs then lured Thomas Frank away from Brentford to steady the ship and restore pride at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Dane has already begun reshaping the squad, with the loan deal for French forward Mathys Tel made permanent and a move for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo reportedly in the works to reinforce their attacking options.
Frank’s tenure will be tested early with a trip to defending champions Manchester City in just the second game of the season. Spurs boast a surprisingly strong record against Pep Guardiola’s side in recent years and will hope to continue that trend.
The opening stretch of the campaign appears manageable beyond that, with games against Bournemouth, West Ham, and Brighton giving Frank a chance to build momentum.
However, November will be a critical test of Spurs’ credentials, featuring back-to-back home clashes with Chelsea and Manchester United, followed by the first North London Derby of the season at Arsenal. The return fixture will be played in February.
Frank will welcome his former club Brentford to north London in early December before making his emotional return to the Gtech Community Stadium just after Christmas, in Tottenham’s final game of 2025.
