Following a confrontation between social media star Verydarkman (VDM) and Ambassador Abdul DanBature, the president of the Arewa Youths, a new scandal has surfaced in Nigerian public life. VDM’s condemnation of Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, for remarks that connected social media to the growth of terrorism is at the heart of the dispute.
